On May 28 I will be celebrating my 2nd wedding anniversary! The time has certainly flown!
As I have gotten back to digital scrapbooking, my first (and ongoing) project to tackle is to scrap some wedding photos. I have a few that I want to share today that have been made in the last few weeks. Credits will be listed underneath each pic. Some of them were designed for challenges I participated in at Pixelscrapper.
I was honored to have my sister be my matron of honor.
I used Ellie Lash's Catnap mini kit that was a newsletter freebie on The Daily Digi for the papers and elements. I added The Digital Scrapper glitter styles to the scatters in the corner and the stitching.
I used Sabrina’s Creations Take Note template freebie from Memory Scraps.

Our wedding was the first time Jarrod's lips ever touched mine. What a kiss! Our pastor enjoyed watching our first kiss and even told our guests our decision to save our first kiss till the wedding.
I used overlays from Delicious Scraps over my photo.
Because I had an outdoor wedding, I wore sparkly white flip flops so that I wouldn't have to worry about heels sinking into the ground.
I used Marisa's June 2012 blog train kit from Pixelscrapper.
Felicity, my husband's daughter, played a valuable role in our wedding. We were so glad to have her be a part of our special day.
I used Dana Keunen's layout template that she offered for the challenge. I tweaked it a bit, mostly deleting a few things and moving some things. http://www.pixelscrapper.com/forums/digital-scrapbooking/challenges/designer-challenge-layout-template-deadline-march-28
I used papers and elements from Summertime Design's Patio Picnic kit. http://summertimedesigns.blogspot.com/2013/03/patio-picnic-kit.html
The font I used was Fely.
I used: Marisa's 1451 mask 15 from Pixelscrapper, Delicious Scraps edged overlay, and Summertime Design's Happiness paper.
Fonts: Point-Dexter, Segoe UI, Maxinitiale, Pistolgrip
This is one of my favorite wedding photos because of the love that shows in each of our expressions.
I used Marisa's DST March blog train kit from Pixelscrapper because of how well it matches our wedding colors.
This is one of my favorite pictures from my wedding. I was peeking out the window to see who had already arrived to my outdoor wedding.
I have used papers and elements from the Sweet as Spring blog hop at Design House Digital.
I also used the March 2013 template challenge template from Scrapflower, eliminating some of the elements from the template.

Choose Life, Choose Joy (inspired from a tutorial)
I am in the process of creating a kit called "Joy Comes in the Morning." It has a grungy style with shades of orange, green, blue, pink, and purple. I was inspired to create an art journal layout after seeing two very simple tutorials with provocative results. Pixelscrapper.com is an incredible site. I encourage you to check out more than the tutorials.
First I learned how to make an asymmetrical layered paper. Then I learned how to add doodled borders to the paper. When I was at the shape making stage, I used an eraser brush to erase parts of the inside shapes so that the papers would blend together more. Then I added the bird brushes and made the text mat from another brush. I found the quote and tada, it's done! Simple yet provocative.

Love in Action Wedding Layout
I have created a kit called Love in Action, inspired by my wedding vows. 1 Corinthians 13:7 became very important to me while I was engaged. I included it in the vows I wrote. I wanted to create a love kit with colors that went beyond the traditional. I was inspired by this color set from Design Seeds.
Of course, I just had to create a wedding layout of me delivering my vows with my Love in Action kit. I used a template from Pixelscrapper.

Let Go
I am not much of a journaler. I find that when I sit down to write, there are more thoughts running around my head than I can get written down. I get frustrated because by the time I get one thought written down, my mind is already three or four thoughts beyond that one. It seems like it just takes a long time. But there are so many times I read the thoughts of others and think, "Yes, that's what I think. That's how I feel." That has happened several times while reading the book, A Heart Exposed: Talking to God with Nothing to Hide by Steven James. This layout was inspired by thoughts in that book. I like digital art journaling because I can be pondering a thought while putting things on the page. When I view the layout in the future, I can remember a bit about how I was feeling while creating it.
I did a lot of layering, therefore, there are a few designers to credit: Studio 68, AliSarah, Anna Aspnes Designs, Christine Smith, and Brenda Mascari.
This was entered at Pixelscrapper's "no photo" challenge.

Contentment
I was inspired to do an art journaling layout after reading a novel.
I found various images of lemons on morguefile.com and have blended them together for this layout.
I used some elements from Janet Scott's contribution to the Birds and the Bees blog train on Pixelscrapper.
Fonts are Just Another Font and JustOldFashion.
